Structural IntegrityThe UK military has always paid high regard to the management of the structural integrity of its weapons systems which is becoming of increasing importance as aircraft platforms are being required to serve ever increasing lives as their systems are periodically updated. The management of structural integrity is undertaken through the ESVRE process which aims to Establish, Sustain, Validate, Recover and Exploit (ESVRE) the structural integrity of each platform. AACE has significant experience and knowledge in the structural integrity process. In particular in the reviewing and drafting of Statement of Operating Intent and Usage (SOIU) documents and the platform structural integrity plan. In addition, AACE has developed a carry-on laptop database programme suitable for use in a Manual Data Recording Exercise (MDRE) programme to gather usage data on Helicopter platforms saving money on expensive ODR programmes. AACE, with the ability to use aircrew and experienced engineering personnel to gather and accurately define aircraft usage, has been involved in the production of many aircraft SOIU’s including Chinook, PUMA, Lynx, A109, Griffin, Squirrel, Nimrod and Tornado. |
