Puma Gazelle Through Life Support

Contracted by the MoD mid way through the development phase of the Puma Gazelle Through Life Support (TLS) project, AACE provides project management support and leadership on technical and logistic aspects. A partnered arrangement between the MoD and Euocopter, TLS will be a single output based contract for all equipment for which Eurocopter is the Design Organisation. Once on contract, AACE quickly applied the specialist skills that the MoD needed to accelerate stakeholder understanding and trust.

AACE developed a formal Assurance and Approval Plan, provided secretariat support and specialist input for all TLS working group and Steering meetings and drafted the main decision Business Case. Working closely with all stakeholders, AACE provided detailed evaluation of the MoD requirement and Eurocopter’s proposed TLS solution. This was possible because of our deep understanding of our clients’ business, their ethos and what they value. Repair and Overhaul (R&O), Spares, delivery and Technical support solutions were developed on behalf of the MoD customer and jointly negotiated directly with Eurocopter specialists and management.

At AACE we pride ourselves on our customer focused agility and proactivity and the AACE TLS Team has repeatedly demonstrated this commitment to our client by responding energetically to project requirements, commenting openly and constructively on Eurocopter proposals and offers. AACE identified opportunities to deliver major efficiencies through targeted data cleansing and analysis. Responding immediately to deploy additional specialists in the field, AACE was able to maintain project urgency, relevance and focus. Coupled to detailed analysis of Eurocopter’s requirement forecasting tools, this activity dramatically improved stakeholder understanding, confidence and therefore reduced risk. This activity led directly to a major adjustment of the R&O programme for high value items, improving the quality and affordability of TLS.
