MD's Statement

With the challenges that all aircraft programmes now have to face, it is essential that limited resources are used to best effect and that specialist skills are brought in wherever it is necessary and economic to do so. AACE has been set-up to meet this need and to provide the very best services to its customers while providing a rewarding place to work for all AACE staff. Since the company was started it has been very successful in delivering what the customer wants while being reactive to the pressures and financial constraints of running what are normally very complex programmes.

I am proud of what AACE has achieved and the outstanding efforts of all those that have worked for AACE. We look forward to the future with confidence and eagerly anticipate the challenges ahead.

Capability, Capacity, Consultancy

AACE provides the high quality technical services to satisfy the clients’ needs in the following categories:

Capability
Providing the requisite skills and specialist capabilities to enable clients’ to meet objectives and complete tasks that require either a particular specialist function or require a skill set which is available directly to the client.

Capacity
As projects go through the life cycle, there are occasions where the client simply does not have the capacity to complete all the activities that are required. Here the function of AACE is to support the client with additional capacity, with the requisite capability, that will enable objectives to be achieved and milestones to be met.

Consultancy
Many large and complex programmes need a degree of analysis and management and strategic oversight that is often best provided by an agency independent of the programme. This is consultancy in its truest form and is an area in which AACE can provide a highly professional service.

The AACE Team

The AACE team is a collection of highly experienced individuals working within a very flat hierarchical structure and totally dedicated to the satisfaction of customer needs. The team is made up of a small headquarters staff, a large percentage of full-time specialist consultants, supported by a number of dedicated associates and the ability to draw on a much wider base of occasional associates. Each member has his own specialist niche and expertise which together make a comprehensive coverage of almost all requirements. Many of our staff are ex-servicemen, from all three services, ranging from Senior NCO through to Senior Officers.

It is AACE practice to form small teams to take on particular tasks which has the following advantages:

The skills and experience of all team members will be applied to the demands of the task.
It allows a high degree of flexibility to be achieved in the allocation of skills, effort and knowledge.
The ability to change the skill set used over the duration of a project and/or boost the team to overcome peak levels of demand.

The AACE Service

AACE has the capability of providing support to clients’ such as the UK Ministry of Defence, UK Industry and Foreign Defence Agencies. This capability includes:

All phases of the concept, acquisition, development, manufacture, in-service and disposal (CADMID) cycle.
Aircraft safety and airworthiness issues within the military, and increasingly civil, regulatory environment.
The development and management of Integrated Operational Support (IOS) and activities within Integrated Logistics Support (ILS).
Undertaking studies and analytical tasks within all aspects of project support.

While many of these capabilities are focused upon the air domain, the skill sets are equally applicable to projects within the other domains and AACE are increasingly taking to best practice to assist in projects outside the air domain.
