![]() Harrier GR9ITEAAACE was contracted to provide support to the Harrier Integrated Test Evaluation and Acceptance (ITEA) process at a very early stage in the Harrier GR9 upgrade program. This program introduces the upgrade in 5 separate capability stages (A to E) and since commencement, A to C have been successfully introduced with D and E due acceptance sometime in the future. As part of the process a meeting structure was developed to involve personnel at all levels, from Desk Officer (DO) to Directorate Equipment Capability (Deep Target Attack) (DEC (DTA)), the acceptance authority. These meetings culminated in the Harrier Military Capability Working Group (MCWG), where executive decisions were made. AACE were involved in the majority of these meetings and facilitated most. AACE successfully developed and delivered an ITEA Strategy and Plan for use by the customer. To facilitate evidence management and provide an evidence audit trail AACE designed and built an acceptance structure in a Dynamic Object Oriented Requirements (DOORS) database and have until recently been managing and maintaining this database. This involved applying ITEA principles across all Defence Lines of Development (DLODs). In addition AACE devised and maintained a certification exception management tool to provide auditable tracking to resolution of all issues limiting the level of system acceptance. Capability E AACE were contracted to provide support to the Main Gate (MG) business case for the Capability E upgrade. Project Review and Assurance including the Support Solutions Envelope (SSE) were completed on time ensuring that Investment Appraisal Board (IAB) approval was given at the end of 2007, allowing Capability E to go to contract. |
